Coastal Playgroup Venue Hire

There is strictly NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHOL, NO NUTS or FOOD CONTAINING NUTS permitted in any part of the venue at any time.

Venue Hire Fees

The hire fees and bond must be paid as soon as booking is confirmed by Coastal Playgroup, via bank transfer, to the account provided on the request form. Your booking will be finalized when payment has been received. The bond will be returned, if there is no damage, the venue is well cleaned and the keys are returned.

If you need to cancel your booking, please note we require two weeks notice prior to the booking date, in order for you to receive a full refund. Please send an email to with your cancellation request.

Key access

Keys to access our venue are located in the top lock box to the left of the main doors. You will receive a confirmation booking email with the current access code prior to your events. Keys give you access to the storeroom, external and internal doors. It is your responsibility to keep the keys safe, and return them and lock the box after the event. Members may access the area with the bottom lock box key.


The switch for the main room, is located on the Eastern wall - it is labelled. The kitchen, airlock (room between kitchen and bathroom) and bathroom are sensor lights.


Toys can be found on the shelves inside the venue and the storage room on the western end of the building. Please return them to the correct spot before you leave. Hirers are welcome to use the toys, however we ask that you do not use the craft items, as they are for playgroup use only. Damage to any Coastal Playgroup property must be paid for by any person/s who willfully and negligently caused such damage.

Trestle Tables/Chairs/Highchairs

Trestle Tables are stored indoors, there are four kids size and one regular size of these available for use. There are blue chairs located in the airlock. There are highchairs available.

Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen has a microwave, an oven, hot and cold water, and a fridge/freezer. There are oven trays, coffee cups, plastic cups, cutlery and plates/platters for your use. Please supply your own tea, coffee, milk and sugar as those there are for Playgroup use only. Please remove any personal food from the fridge/freezer


Cleaning items, bin bags and cloths and tea towels can be found in the kitchen - in the drawers and under the sink. The vacuum cleaner and broom are stored in the airlock.

Please leave the playgroup in the same condition that you found it. Before leaving the venue, ensure you have attended to the following:

▪ Wipe over any benches/tables used
▪ All kitchen items washed and put away
▪ Ensure food has not been left in/on any play equipment/toys
▪ Put all toys back where you found them. Please ensure indoor toys are returned indoors. Please check playground/sandpit and cubby house for toys.
▪ Please take any rubbish bags with you and replace bin bag
▪ Sweep/vacuum and mop any floor space used
▪ Lock all doors and ensure kitchen window is shut.
▪ Turn off light in the main room. Turn off air-conditioner, music and check the oven is off.

The Hirer indemnifies and releases Coastal Playgroup from:

a. Any accident, damage, loss or injury to any person or property arising from the use of the Coastal Playgroup Playgroup centre;

b. Any loss, damage or costs suffered by Coastal Playgroup from any default or breach of this Agreement by the Hirer.

Responsibility for dependent children and guests must be borne by the Hirer.

Coastal Playgroup accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to the property of the Hirer or any third party. All personal belongings must be removed on the day of booking
